Just the FAQs!
When will the Faith Formation schedule be available?
Faith Formation Year runs from the first weekend in October 2026 to May 2027. Our calendar can be found here in pdf form, or below as a digital calendar to sync to your phone.
Our Faith Formation program typically meets on Wednesday evenings for all grade levels.
What does the elementary school program look like? What curriculum will be used?
We will be using Saint Mary’s Press’ Discover: Finding Faith in Life curriculum this year for the elementary school program grades 1-5. Discover makes parish Faith Formation curriculum approachable and memorable.
Children use The Catholic Children’s Bible in every lesson, with meaningful activities to infuse joy into every lesson. This joy sparks a lived faith rooted in core Catholic doctrine, and a love for Scripture.
What does the middle school program look like? What curriculum will be used?
We will be using Life Teen (EDGE) curriculum this year for the middle school program grades 6-8. This amazing curriculum is used across many parishes and is known for its dynamic and engaging content. We will be showcasing some of this content through communications and posters within the next couple of weeks.
Can you provide more information on the confirmation program? What will the program entail?
We will be using the Life Teen confirmation program, Purpose. This program will be the familiar year 1 and year 2 format, with Retreats, LifeNights (Adoration), and other Faith Experiences throughout the year.
What about my teens in high school?
We will have youth Connect Groups (small groups) on Sunday nights. Stay tuned for more info! (9-12th grade. Confirmation is not a prerequeset for Connect Groups).
Will there be family formation and adoration nights?
Absolutely! Adoration Nights will be included in the calendar. We are planning on once a month, and will have live worship music, time for reflection, and continuous formation prompts for teens to grow closer to the Blessed Sacrament and to foster a continued devotion to Holy Hour.
Children and their parents will meet throughout the year as they participate together in events to help families learn more about the Catholic Faith. Stay tuned for more info!
Can you explain the change in cost from last year?
We are using a flat-rate fee of $125 for every grade level to simplify registration fees across the board. Normally, you’d be charged additional fees for Sacraments (like confirmation and First Communion). We have done away with this, and all items, including grade-specific materials (Bibles, all physical curriculum books, etc.), supplies, food, and all Sacrament needs (robes, etc.) and our program costs are included in this flat rate.
Our cheapest registration last year was $200 (early bird middle-school, plus 1st Communion/1st Reconciliation) for non-Catholic school children. For Catholic school children, the cost was $130. For non-sacrament registrations, our cheapest was $100, meaning our biggest increase was only by 22%. On average, savings of around 60% will be seen by children in Faith Formation needing to also complete Sacraments.
We will also continue to offer volunteers a 25% reimbursment of tuition costs for children registered at any grade level.
I'm a Volunteer. Where do I sign up?
We’re so excited to have you as a volunteer! The sign up form can be found here. Our Volunteer Retreat will be taking place on September 23rd. There is no cost associated and all materials will be provided to you.
Note: all volunteers receive a 25% tuition reimbursement toward the end of the Faith Formation year for any children registered for Faith Formation at any grade level.
