Volunteer Duties
Arlo’s Safety Scouts is a new ministry created to enhance our mission to provide radical hospitality for our parishioners and guests.
Our services include the following:
- Provide assistance to anyone needing help to walk from the parking lot to the church.
- Provide support in the event of a medical emergency. Volunteers will receive training in the application of CPR and the use of AED equipment as well as other helpful First Aid practices.
- Be an awareness presence outside of church before, during and after the Mass.
- Be a communication advocate to the police, fire department and emergency medical services if the need arises.
Arlo’s Safety Scouts
Here’s what you’ll be asked to do…
- Wear an Arlo Safety Scout vest. ☺
Weekend Mass Ministry
- Be on duty for 15 minutes before Mass, 60 minutes during Mass and 15 minutes after Mass.
- Serve one time per month…or less often depending on the number of active volunteers.
Wednesday Faith Formation Ministry
- Be on duty for 60 minutes during one of these time slots:
- 4:45 to 5:45 p.m., or
- 5:45 to 6:45 p.m., or
- 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
- Serve one time per month…or less often depending on the number of active volunteers.
Arlo’s Safety Scouts must be 18 years of age.
