VIRTUS Training is a 3 hour awareness session that better equips adults to protect children in the world around them.  The Archdiocese of St. Paul & Minneapolis mandates this training for all clergy, deacons, parish employees and volunteers who have regular or unsupervised contact with children under the age of 18.  In order to see our children and youth programs continue to grow at St. Victoria, we need all parents of children and youth to attend one of these training sessions.  Visit the VIRTUS Website for more information.

The parish family of St. Victoria is reaching out as the face and hands of Jesus to hundreds of families both near and far this Christmas…

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
St. Victoria’s Faith Formation program filled and packed 693 Operation Christmas Child boxes this year, over 200 more than last year!  This means that 693 children around the world will receive a simple box filled with love and treasures this Christmas.  It is amazing and heartwarming to see how the children in our Faith Formation program work to fill these boxes knowing that these simple gifts will touch the heart of another child who will now know God’s love.  Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to this service project and for helping us spread “the good news of great joy” Luke 2:10 to children across the globe.  Let us keep these 693 children in prayer now and throughout the year.

THE GIVING TREE
Once again our annual Giving Tree event was a huge success!  Our parish provided gifts for 150 people in 44 local families this year.  The Giving Tree is our way of supporting the CAP Agency’s Hope for the Holidays program as we share the hope and spirit of Christmas.  A huge thank you to all of our parishioners who took a tag and returned their gifts.  A huge thank you also to our 30+ volunteers who helped sort and bag all of these gifts last Sunday so that families could come to the CAP Agency and pick up their gifts.  These gifts are a reflection and symbol of this beautiful season of both giving and receiving God’s love.
